Honda C-800 Supercub

Die harder builder ternyata bisa romatis juga. Yup...sosok garang Yuli Gundul yang punya nama beken di kalangan chopperis ’n oldschool mania nusantara baru-baru ini bikin geger Malang bareng maskot anyar Chuppy Cub nyentriknya.


Nggak hanya karena yang pertama di Malang, chuppy cub Honda Super Cub-nya ini ternyata dipersembahkannya buat sang dinda tercinta, yayang Yuyun. ”Daripada kuhadiahi motor anyar, mending kubikinin aja motor biar punya makna lebih,” kekeh buildernya Bad Chopper ini.

Basis rangka monokok C-800 tetap dipertahankan, namun dikembangkan lagi dengan penambahan tail fender full dress dipermanis stop lamp hand made. antas, suspensi depan dire-konstruksi jadi bersosok springer tulen via penambahan pipa penahan pelatuk as roda yang sisi atasnya ditahan suspensi eks. sok depan Vespa PTS.

”Tepat di atasnya, aku pasang set lampu eks. Zundapp dengan lis lampu kupermanis lis besi,” tunjuknya lantas memasang pula front fender full dress. Makin seksi kala sebuah stang semi ape hanger ber-innner throttle gas dipancang menggagahi penampakan.

Melengkapi keistimewaan, ragam detail part hand made ditabur di sekujur body dari pedal kick starter, pedal rem, back rack, spion serta yang paling unik adalah side kovernya. ”Kubuat dari bahan plat dan kubikin mirip drum bir, biar makin mantab, sekujur drumnya aku balut kulit yang kugrafir mirip alur kayu,” imbuh Yuli.

Menutup aksi, giliran sang brother tercinta, Sutris Bil’s Hot Paint dimandati Yuli untuk menyembur total body-nya dengan warna metalic red yang dipermanis pinstripe beralur old school. Nggak kelewatan, ornamen kulit pun juga dipasang dari single seat, grip hingga selongsong sok buritannya. Cool..

The Honda C70 is a 4-stroke 50cc OHC street motorcycle manufactured by Honda between 1970 and 1984, which replaced the similar C65 model. The C70 was the elder brother of Cub C50, with more power, same cheap economical ride and reliability. It was introduced in USA, Canada, Asia, Indonesian and Vietnam in 1970, and introduced to the UK in 1972. Later US versions were called Honda Passport.

HONDA ULUNG C70
The Honda C70 Passport was a later, larger-displacement version of the Honda Super Cub, with more power and the same cheap economical ride and reliability. It was introduced in the USA, Canada, Asia, and Vietnam in 1970; the first models were called C70 but in 1980 the C70 Passport was introduced.

It had a 72 cc (4.4 cu in) air-cooled single overhead cam engine, a semi-automatic 3-speed gearbox, and enough horse power to pull this bike to a top speed of 50 mph (80 km/h). First models had 6 v electrics; in 1982, 12 v electrics and CDI ignition were introduced to further improve the performance of the engine. All models have a full-enclosed drive chain for less maintenance.
