TVS Pajang StreetFighter Velocity 160

JAKARTA. – Wabah motor sport bergenre streetfighter nampaknya sedang menjangkiti para produsen motor di Indonesia. Setelah Honda dengan New Mega Pro dan Yamaha dengan Byson nya, Suzuki pun tengah mempersiapkan stretfighter 150 cc terbarunya.

Bahkan, pabrikan asal India pun kini turut memajang motor sport bergaya street fighter.

Adalah PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia (TVSMCI) yang memajang motor konsep Apache Velocity 160 cc yang mengambil basis dari Apache RTR 160.

Street fighter ini merupakan hasil rubahan salah satu rumah modifikasi di Jakarta. Menurut TVS, konsep street fighter dari hasil modifikasi ini hadir untuk melihat sentimen pasar pada desain motor sport TVS ini.

Velocity didesain dengan garis desain yang tegas dan tajam. Untuk menghasilkan rubahan maksimal dari wujud asli Apache RTR yang rounded menjadi lebih tajam, Velocity banyak mencomot part-part after market dan custom.

Untuk menegaskan karekter streetfighter, Velocity menggunakan head lamp milik TVS RockZ yang dibalut dengan cover head lamp custom yang dibentuk sudut-sudut tajam.

Selain itu, rubahan pada kaki-kaki pun menjadi penentu hasil maksimal rubahan RTR 160 menjadi Velocity 160. Untuk menopang ban depan yang menggunakan Battlax 120/70-17, Velocity mencomot shock up side down dari Mito.

Sementara untuk menopang ban belakang Battlax berukuran 150/60-17 yang membengkak dari ukuran aslinya, Velocity pengaplikasikan lengan ayun custom ala moge. Selain itu, untuk peredam kejut bagian belakang agar pembentukan karakter streetfighter kian kental, TVS mencangkokkan mono shock dari YSS.

Apache Velocity 160 yang merupakan jelmaan dari Apache RTR 160 ini, hadir sebagai refrensi modifikasi bagi pengguna TVS Apache.

Benny Yuniardi Widiatmoko, GM Marketing PT TVSMCI mengatakan, “Ini merupakan konsep streetfighter dari TVS Indonesia untuk melihat reaksi pasar pada desain motor ini,” terang Benny.

Benny menambahkan, “Selain itu, kami juga ingin melihat sentimen pasar jika TVS menghadirkan motor sport bergaya streetfighter yang saat ini sedang menjadi trend,” tambahnya.

Lantas apakah melalui konsep Apache Velocity 160 ini TVS akan mengikuti jejak pabrikan Jepang seperti Yamaha dan Honda? Kita tunggu saja tanggal mainnya.
