AUSTRIA, KOMPAS.COM - KTM punya sepeda motor jalanan yang telanjang berkapasitas 125 cc. Modelnya mirip dengan Ducati yang pada bagian tengahnya berotot. Produsen roda dua asal Austria itu menakaman street bikenya 125 Duke, setelah berbulan-bulan dispekulasikan dengan berbagai nama melalui facebook.

Awalnya, dua varian Duke dipertontonkan pada acara Eicma 2009 di Milan, Italia. Salah satunya, dinamakan "Race & Stunt". Tampilannya mirip dengan Duke 690.

Untuk penjualan, manajemen KTM menetapkan Maret 2011. Bahkan ada rencana dimasukkan ke Malaysia, tapi belum ada tanggal pastinya.

Mengenai teknologinya, Duke dibekali mesin 125 cc injeksi bahan bakar dan berpendingin cairan. Tenaganya diklaim 15 PS.

COLOGNE, KOMPAS.COM - Pada pameran sepeda motor Intermot Show di Cologne, Italia, mata penonton tertuju pada stan KTM. Produsen roda dunia dari Austria memajang model terbaru supermoto KTM 990 SMT. Menariknya, sistem penghenti laju Si Ratu Aothe berakselerasi negatif - begitu KTM menjuluki produknya itu - sudah dilengkapi sistem ABS.

Perangkat sistem pengereman yang hanya mempunyai bobot satu kilogram itu dikembangkan hasil kerja sama dengan suplayer Bosch. Jadi, fungsinya sudah disesuaikan untuk keperluan supermoto.

Untuk jantung pacu, 990 SMT dibekali mesin V-Twin berpendingin cair yang mempunyai tenaga 115 PS. Karena diperuntukkan turing, remnya memakai empat kaliper dari Brembo, sehingga motor dapat berhenti seketika.

KTM 990 SMT dirancang seminimal mungkin dan menggunakan sistem deteksi yang KTM namakan Aurollover detection. Jadi, sistem tersebut dapat dimatikan saat menerjang jalan tanah.

Supermoto asal Austria ini bersaing dengan Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring, Yamaha Super Tenere, BMW RT1200GS dan merek lainnya.

COLOGNE, KOMPAS.com - Di ajang pameran Cologne, Jerman, kolaborasi Bajaj dan KTM menampilkan street bike KTM 125 Duke yang mulai dipasarkan musim semi tahun depan. Produsen asal Austria itu memastikan kalau sepeda motor model telanjang itu mulai diproduksi akhir tahun ini.

Sebelumnya sempat ditampilkan KTM 125 Duke, awal September lalu. Hanya, ketika itu, tampilan sepeda motornya belum komplet.

Dengan Duke ini, KTM membidik konsumen entry-level di bawah "sang kakak" 690 Duke yang sudah lama dipasarkan. Bentuk cukup kompak dengan bobot hanya 128 kg, kapasitas tanki 11 liter dan ketinggian jok 81 cm dari permukaan tanah.

Jantung pacunya berkapasitas 125 cc injeksi berpendingin cairan dengan tenaga 15 PS pada putaran 10.500 rom dan torsi 12 Nm pada 8.000 rpm. Gigi persneling 6 tingkatan percepatan dan seluruh tenaga disalurkan melalui rantai ke roda belakang.

Soal kenyamanan berkendara, terutama mendapatkan kestabilan yang baik, KTM mamakai garpu depan dengan ukuran cukup lebar 43 mm. Untuk sistem pengereman, cakram tunggal, baik depan maupun belakang dari Brembo.

KTM 125 Duke akan dipasarkan di beberapa kawasan di dunia termasuk Eropa, Amerika Latin, Afrika dan terakhir Asia Tenggara. Apakah juga termasuk Indonesia?
